he Daihatsu Copen is a FWD two door roadster with an aluminium folding top that resembles a miniature Audi TT Roadster. Having been around for eight years or so since its debut at the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show as the Daihatsu OFC-1 concept, many are wondering when the facelift for this diminutive hard top roadster would be due. With eager anticipation gnawing at their hearts, the domestic Japanese car magazines attempted to predict the appearance of the next generation model that is expected to be introduced by 2010 by coming out with some of their own creative renderings of this highly popular and cute drop top Kei car that has won the hearts of many. The images we have showcased however
are mere speculations, but it does serve to provide some much
needed optimism for a new star in the Kei car segment.
