M ODC has entered into the CNG fray with a vehicle of its own, the which is the first original factory fitted CNG vehicle in the Chevrolet line up providing yet another alternative fuel choice to the public.
The new Chevrolet Optra Magnum CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) was unveiled on March 28, 2008 at the Chevrolet showroom making it the first ever CNG vehicle to be available directly from the manufacturer eliminating the hassles of after market retrofitting which can often void a car’s warranty. Offering an environmentally friendly, safe and economical ownership experience for Singaporean drivers, the Chevrolet Optra Magnum CNG will be available in two body variants; the Chevrolet Optra Magnum CNG Sedan (Auto) and Chevrolet Optra Magnum CNG Estate (Auto), both with an engine capacity of 1.6 litres. The car also comes with a valid three-year/100,000 km standard warranty and 24 hour after sales support which means that Chevrolet owners will enjoy greater peace of mind and a different ownership experience compared with customers of other vehicle brands equipped with CNG.
