leek futuristic cars don’t really grab much attention these days as the rage in car designing has retrograded. Volkswagen initiated it with the reintroduction of the Beetle, and BMW followed suit with the Mini and now Fiat pays homage to its little car from 50 years ago with the reincarnation of their 500.
TTS EUROCARS unveiled the Fiat 500 at the National Museum of Singapore’s Glass Atrium on the 18 of April 2008 to both invited guests and the media. The location of choice was an apt one as the car in question embodies both the essence of artistic designing and its heritage, given the car’s history. Created by the Fiat Style Centre, the new 500 is a four seater, three door mini compact hatchback that is styled to cater to those seeking lifestyle that would set them apart due to its cuteness and styling featuring rounded soft lines that would guarantee to make heads turn. Voted as 2008’s Car of the Year, the Fiat 500 is a “fashion car" available in three versions namely Pop, Sport and Lounge and is based on the Fiat Trepiuno concept which it bears a striking resemblance to.
